School Closings & Delayed Starts Due to Inclement Weather

There are a number of ways to find out about closings or delayed starts:

Television:           WFMZ-TV 69 (If there is a delay or closing our name will appear on the scroll list.)

      Email:             Eblast sent to parents receiving emailed communications

Please check with the identified resources to confirm the schedule for Grace Montessori School. We will make every effort to contact these sites by 6:00 am, however since the situation can evolve and we are not in control of how long it takes for a posting to appear, Please check for updates before you leave for school.

If we are not listed for a delay or closing on WFMZ, and our voicemail does not indicate a closing or delay for that day, it means we are open for normal business hours (7:30 am – 5:30 pm)

IMPORTANT:  If we are to have a delayed start, there will be no early morning childcare and both the Primary and Lower Elementary programs will begin at 10 am. Teachers will be at the front doors, ready for receiving at 9:45 am (no earlier). The doors will be closed at 10:15 am.

If winter weather occurs during the school day, we encourage parents to check the identified resources, and be prepared to pick up their children in case of early dismissal.

A special note to the families of 5-9 year olds who take buses to school:  Bus transportation is dependent on the decisions made by the school district in which you live. For example, if you live in the Parkland School District and Parkland is closed, your child will not have bus transportation to school that day. If Parkland has a delay, your child will be bused according to Parkland's schedule.
