Grace Montessori School is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our school community.

We are seeking someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a respectful, peaceful, and nurturing classroom environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the lead Montessori teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Assisting children with classroom routines and transitions
  • Helping maintain an organized and prepared classroom environment
  • Supporting children in developing independence and confidence
  • Observing and responding respectfully to children’s individual needs
  • Assisting with classroom cleaning, organization, and daily responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively with the teaching team

Qualification and Experience:

  • Must have previous experience working with young children.
  • Must have a high school diploma. 
  • Must pass all required clearances (PA Child Abuse, Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History, Federal Criminal History Background Check).
  • Montessori experience or training is a plus. 
  • Must be patient, nurturing, and dependable. 
  • Must exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to maintain a calm and respectful classroom environment.
  • Must be passionate about supporting children’s development and independence.

Grace Montessori School is accepting applications for Interns, Montessori Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Substitute Teachers, Extended Care Teacher, and Camp Staff.
 
Interns pursuing or planning to pursue early childhood degrees or certification.
 

Montessori Teachers, Assistant Teachers experienced or familiar with the Montessori Method of teaching. Full or part time available. Financial support for teacher certification and degree programs available.

Camp Staff – Summer Camp Teacher will work with students in the Toddler (15-36 months) or Big Kid camp programs (ages 3-9 years old).

Extended Care Teacher needed for the afterschool/extended care program.

Substitute Teacher for all age groups (toddlers, primary and elementary).

Established in 1992, our school enrolls children from fifteen months through twelve years old. Our goal is to nurture children’s spirit and natural love of learning by providing a Montessori program that educates the whole child, fostering cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth.
