Grace Montessori School to Host 30th Anniversary Scholarship Benefit

Grace Montessori School (GMS) will mark 30 years of lifelong learning with a scholarship benefit event on May 19, 2023, at Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works. School parents, staff, and community supporters of GMS will enjoy an evening of hearty hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment from The Flynn Brothers, and honors. The event will support the mission of GMS’s Closing the Achievement Gap scholarship program, which assists 28 families each year.

Part of the night will be dedicated to honoring two outstanding supporters of GMS. Jennifer Mann, founder and president of JL Mann Consulting, LLC, will receive the Grace Montessori Lifelong Learning Award. Mann has been a major proponent of GMS with EITC funding and has shown an immense commitment to furthering GMS’s mission of educating the whole child. Borko Milosev, principal at Post Road Management, will receive the Grace Montessori Mission Award. Like Mann, Milosev has shown selfless dedication to providing scholarships to students in need in the Allentown area.

GMS reserves 30 percent of its enrollment each year for students who need scholarships. Giving a child a full year of education at GMS means nurturing that child’s spirit through care for the whole child, fostering cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Over the last thirty years, over $2 million in scholarship assistance has been awarded to GMS students.

“30 years of lifelong learning is a momentous occasion for Grace Montessori, and we’re excited to welcome our school families and community to celebrate with us,” says GMS Director Radhika Hoshing. “Our event will be a celebration of the school’s past but also an appreciation of its current stage and an opportunity to look forward to our future. There is so much love for our program, the students, and our supporters, and this event will be a culmination of that.”

GMS and its staff are excited to continue its commitment to removing educational barriers in Allentown and providing scholarships to local families, a mission that has been present since Cathy Constantine founded GMS in 1992. Success in life begins with success in school, and GMS plans to take advantage of its position to emphasize choice, discovery, and exploration at every stage of every child.

This event is made possible by multiple generous sponsors. The Milosev Family Foundation is the presenting sponsor of the 30th Anniversary Scholarship Benefit. Visionary sponsors include People’s Security Bank & Trust, Robert Verrone of Ironhound Management, and Andrew Mathias. Leader sponsors include Ruth and Charles Marcon and Steven T. Williams of Esquire/Waldron & Williams. Sponsorship opportunities are still available here.
